emiliana.nu version 5
After 8 months of hard work, the new version of Emiliana.nu is finally online! This new version is quite a change from the previous one, so we hope you will enjoy it and discover the site with a new point of view. Here are a few highlights of the work accomplished over the last few months.
A quick presentation of version 5
New structure:
The structure of the website has been completely updated and re-organised, which means most of the pages you might have used as default like the main page of the homepage have changed their adresses. We advise you to change your bookmarks in your browser.
The technical side:
The code has been completely reworked. This version is much lighter than the previous one and the compatibility of the website with different browsers has been tested (Internet explorer (6 to 8), firefox (2 and 3), Safari 4, Opera 10, Google Chrome), and now offered a better display of the site itself. But the most recent browsers give a better viewing of the website. To enjoy the site fully, we recommend you use IE 8 or Firefox 3.
The navigation inside the website has also been updated. You now have the possibility to see exactly where you are on the website thanks to the navigation menu on the top of the page.
The text side:
MarieMJS and I have corrected all the mistakes, grammar, and bad style we could find on the website (eh, it happens!). Nevertheless, we might have forgotten one here and there, don't hesitate to tell us!
Numerous sections have been reworked from the presentation to the text itself.
Some parts of the website have welcomed a complete update like the discography, the media section and the concerts... Some are also completely new!
New design:
The design is completely new. We tried to find a simple structure with a kick ass design, so we think! It's now unique and the skins system is gone.
Some new stuff, in details
Homepage:
- New presentation of the homepage.
- New section for special highlights or events...
- Most recent topics from the forum are now visible on the homepage, on the right.
Other sections:
- The discography is completely updated with new informations on each album.
- The media section is also completely updated:
- An update on all the music videos from Emiliana.
- Addition of the new videos.
- You can also read videos right from the website now.
- The press section has two new sub-categoris "e.nu special pages" and "albums reviews".
In the end...
Everything is not probably listed on this current page, but we tried to give you a glimpse of the whole new version. The best thing to do is to wander on every page and discover by yourself all the new stuff.
